Eclipse 4100 Elliptical Trainer

You're probably expecting me to give a glowing review about the Eclipse 4100 elliptical trainer like so many others online, sorry to disappoint you but that's not going to happen here.

I do like the Eclipse 4100 elliptical trainer, but the real question isn't whether or not I like the Eclipse 4100, but rather is it a good value in this price range?

So what's not to like? My main concern here is that when you start to get into the price range of the Eclipse 4100, you're better off getting an elliptical like the Proform 1280...

Eclipse 4100 Elliptical Key Stats and Specs:

  • forward and reverse motion
  • 8 workouts
  • natural smooth elliptical motion
  • steel construction
  • large 8x16 dot matrix screen

You can get the Proform 1280 for about $100 bucks more, and I feel it has a better elliptical motion and more bells and whistles like power resistance, power incline and iFit workouts not found on the Eclipse 4100.

If you're still stuck on the Eclipse for budget reasons, don't think that you are getting a piece of junk. I'm just saying that if I were going to buy a new elliptical trainer I may lean towards a different machine than the Eclipse 4100 elliptical trainer...
