Track CX 1055 Elliptical Review
The
Nordictrack CX 1055 Elliptical is the top of the line offering
from Nordictrack and rests above the Nordictrack 938 Elliptical
and the Nordictrack
CX 998 Elliptical.
There
are a couple of differences when you make the move up to
the CX 1055 from the CX 998, like the addition of the Solaris
console, 9 additional built-in workouts and a different
stride configuration Nordictrack likes to call the 'stride
thru'.
The
question begs, is the Nordictrack 1055 worth the extra $200
above and beyond the CX 998 or CX 985?...
I'll
answer that question by saying, No. It isn't.
Sure
it's nice to have the improved looking console, but in the
long run it won't improve you workouts...

The
9 extra built-in workouts are a nice addition, but fact
is, both the Nordictrack 998, 985 and 1055 all have iFit,
so you can load and run unlimited workouts from a CD.
With
the added expense of the CX 1055, I would have hoped for
a longer stride length instead of the standard 18",
I think they could have done away with some of the other
bells and whistles and concentrated on increasing the usability
and performance of this elliptical machine instead - increasing
the stride length would be where I put my money.
