2.1 elliptical and the Smooth
3.2 elliptical.
Billed
as a commercial elliptical trainer, the Smooth 7.4 has a
high user weight rating of 350 pounds that far exceeds most
any elliptical machine in the under $2000 price range.
There
are also upgrades that add to the performance of the Smooth
3.2, including an improved LED display console and additional
1" stride length that pushes the overall stride length
to 19" which is pretty respectable...

One
thing I'll say for the Smooth 7.4 is, it's a nice elliptical
machine that's pretty close to club level quality, and I
do like the upgraded display.
I can also appreciate the higher user weight limit of 350
pounds (higher user weight limits are a good sign of build
quality and stability)....
But
I don't believe the upgrades on the Smooth 7.4 are worth
the extra $400 dollar investment above similar machines
in this price range.
If
you're considering buying the Smooth 7.4 elliptical trainer,
take a closer look at the Smooth
CE 3.2 and the Sole
E95 as both are good alternatives for a much better
price...
