Sole E25 Elliptical Trainer

The Sole E25 Elliptical is the entry level elliptical machine in the Sole family that includes the Sole E35, Sole E75 and the Sole E95 in ascending order of cost and features.

Usually when you think of a 'budget' elliptical trainer, a wobbly piece of junk with a 15" stride length comes to mind.

Sole recognized this fact and decided not to jump into the low end of the market for fear of tarnishing their reputation for quality and durability that they've established with their treadmills.

I think they made the right decision by pricing their lower end machine around the $1000 price point, as any elliptical trainer under that amount has to make compromises in quality or construction along the way.

The Sole E25 elliptical comes out of the corner swinging, and packs some quality features like a 20" stride length (not usually found on any elliptical trainer under $2500), and a new patented 2 degree sloped foot pedal configuration they developed with a leading physical therapist that reduces knee and ankle strain...

Sole E25 Elliptical Trainer Key Stats and Specs:

  • Eddy Current Magnetic Break System
  • 2 degree inward slope of foot pedals reduces ankle and knee stress
  • 16 levels of resistance
  • 19 lb. flywheel and a high gear ratio
  • Heart rate chest strap
  • 300 pound user weight capacity

The Sole E25 elliptical has a lot of what you'd expect in a higher price elliptical, but only comes standard with 4 built-in workouts (the workouts are very good though and you can program 1 user defined workout to suit your purposes.

The e25 is a good machine, but I'd upgrade to the Sole e35 Elliptical for a couple hundred bucks and get a lot more bang for your fitness buck...
