Lifegear Recumbent Exercise Bike

So you want an exercise bike for less than $200 bucks, huh?

Although I'm not a fan of recommending cheap exercise bikes, I will give a nod to the Lifegear Recumbent Bike - with some conditions.

First off, even though there has been a lot of positive feedback about the Lifegear recumbent, don't think for a minute that this bike will do anything comparable to a mid-level bike like a Schwinn 201, that's just the way it is, the sooner you get past that idea the better off you'll be.

The seat is NOT very comfortable and there is a lack of adjustability in the seat position fore and aft (forward and backward) - and users over 5'-10" will have a hard time finding a comfortable riding position.

You should also forget about getting an accurate reading from the pulse grip sensor, as it's more of an afterthought on the Lifegear...

Lifegear Recumbent Key Specs and Benefits:

  • Recumbent exercise bike with magnetic
  • Display with time, speed, distance, hand pulse and approximate calories burned
  • Large LCD screen with easily readable display
  • Handles with built-in hand pulse sensors to read your heart rate
  • Adjustable seat

With the negatives out of the way, let's get to some of the positives about the Lifegear recumbent.

If you need a bike that you can just get on and go, and you're not worried about tracking your workouts very close, the Lifegear will make a good companion to your home workout.
