Body Solid EXM 2500s Home Gym

The Body Solid EXM 2500s home gym is a strong competitor in the under $1000 home gym category.

The term "health club quality" gets tossed around a little too liberally these days. But when Body Solid says, "health club quality" they know what they are talking about. Many of their individual pieces of selectorized equipment is found in the best health clubs on the planet.

The feature I like best about the 2500 is the sleek the chest station. I think it has one of the best pec decks of any home gym I've seen.

The Body Solid 2500 is built with rugged tubular steel with a powder coat finish. The cables and pullys are strong too, galvinized air craft grade cable and brass bushings are used to give you a very stable and smooth workout on the 20+ exercises.

On the down side, you do have to pay for the quality of the 2500. It costs about a grand. And that doesn't include the leg press or optional leg raise and dip stations.

On the plus side, Body Solid offers a lifetime warranty on the frame, expandability of the gym, rugged frame, heavy duty padding and seating surfaces and adjustable stations that are ergonomically correct.

If you're trying to recreate that health club feel in your home, the Body Solid EXM 2500s is a good choice for under $1000.
