Gear Ultimate Smith Machine
The
Fitness Gear Ultimate Smith Machine is a model that is private
labeled to Dicks Sporting Goods and is sold in their stores
only and is not available online.
The
Ultimate Smith is a decent machine for the money. It comes
with a smith carriage that runs on bushings, a weight bench
with leg and preacher curl attachment and lift offs so you
can perform free weight exercises right off the front of
the rack.
The
Ultimate Smith also has a build it cable cross over unit
off the front of the machine, but I found it rather cumbersome
to use, and not very smooth in operation.
For
lat and tricep work, the Ultimate Smith also comes with
a plate loaded lat tower that accepts Olympic style weights.
If
you can find the Fitness Gear Ultimate Smith Machine on
sale at Dicks on sale as a floor model for under $800 bucks,
I think it's worth the money, otherwise you can checkout
the Mega Smith machine for a better option for your money...
