Bowflex
Series 3 Treadmill Review
The
Bowflex Series 3 Treadmill is the bottom end of the
Bowflex treadmill lineup which also features the Bowflex
Series 5 Treadmill and the Bowflex
Series 7 Treadmill.
Here's
what you get for your money with the Bowflex Series 3. A
nice package of equipment and good product design, a folding
deck, hand grip pulse sensor and 6 built-in workout programs
to get your started.
Like
most treadmills in this price range, the Bowflex Series
3 Treadmill has almost enough things going for it to consider
buying it, but it falls short with an under powered 1.75
hp motor with a sup par frame and deck.
Key
features of the Bowflex Series 3 Treadmill:
- Folding
system for easy storage with the SoftDrop declining
position
- 20"
x 54" live running area w/ a 1-ply belt
- 1.75
HP Continuous Motor
- 4
window LED display w/ 6 workout programs
- Strike
Zone deck cushioning
The
Bowflex Series 3 does have a couple things going for it
that may be enough to get some people to go ahead and pull
the trigger on purchasing it.
First
off, Bowflex was smart to include a good solid warranty
to give buyers confidence. Here's the breakdown: 10 years
on the motor, 15 years on the frame, 2 years on parts and
1 year labor.
Second,
the Bowflex fills a need in the low end of the market for
the budget minded that can't, or won't invest in a better
machine in the $1500 range that is geared more towards workout
enthusiasts.
If
you only plan to walk and do some very light jogging on
your treadmill, the Bowflex Series 3 Treadmill is worth
a look because of the long warranty, but I would recommend
increasing your budget and investigating the Bowflex
Series 5 Treadmill, or the Smooth
5.25 Treadmill instead..
