Nordic Track c2200 Treadmill

The Nordic Track c2200 treadmill has some great features at a reasonable price but the question remains, is the Nordic Track c2200 worth buying with a sticker price of $999?

No. (see the best treadmill under $1000 here for my recommendation)

But before you stop reading the review on the c2200, let me explain the reasons for my decision to not recommend it.

The Nordic Track c2200 treadmill has tons of must have features including:

  • flex step deck shock reduction
  • iFit compatibility
  • 1 step speed control (push button)
  • 1 step power incline
  • 10 workouts
  • and a mid sized 20" x 50" deck

...but (and this is a BIG but in this price range) it only has a 1.75 hp motor.

You should expect a bare minimum of a 2 hp motor in the $1000 price range. The problem with the Nordic Track c2200 treadmill is that it is loaded with so many other quality features that Nordic Track had to cut a corner somewhere. I don't think that they made the right choice by limiting the motor to 1.75 hp.

If you're considering buying the Nordic Track c2200 treadmill, take a close look at the Smooth 5.25 Treadmill, it's got a better warranty and hand grip speed and incline control...it's my top pick for treadmills under $1000...
