Proform
840 Treadmill Review
The
Proform 840 Treadmill is an attempt by Proform to pack as
many selling features into as nicely a bundled package as
possilbe and still keep the price down below the dreaded
$1000 mark that manufacturers fear, and consumers dread...
Did
Proform succeed in their mission with the 840 treadmill?
I think they did for multiple reasons.
One
of the things I think Proform did right with the 840 treadmill
was to include a good motor (2.25 hp MachZ) with a good
solid warranty of 12 years.
If
the motor inside the 840 was a pile of junk, Proform wouldn't
stand behind it like they do.
Some
of the other nice goodies on the Proform 840 include a good
sized treadbelt that you can actually run on (19" x
55") a high user weight capacity of 300 pounds, power
incline and speed control, and their Proshox Impact system
that, granted, won't fool you into thinking you're running
on a $2000 treadmill like a Sole S77, but it functions well
for this price range.
If
you're looking for a treadmill in the $501-799 dollar range,
you'll be hard pressed to beat the Proform
840 Treadmill.
