Smooth 7.1 Treadmill

The Smooth 7.1 treadmill has quickly become the best seller in the Smooth Fitness treadmill lineup.

The 7.1 has features similar to the Smooth 5.0 treadmill but adds some nice upgrades for the more serious treadmill shopper.

One of the best features of the Smooth 7.1 Treadmill is the power fold mechanism. Just touch a button, and the treadmill running deck folds itself up and out of the way for easy storage.

Like the Smooth 5.0, the Smooth 7.1 treadmill has a large 2.5 hp motor with a ten year warranty.

The deck is larger on the 7.0, it adds an additional 144 sq.in. to the running surface making a roomy 20" x 54" deck, making running easier than on the 5.0.

The Smooth 7.1 treadmill has two more important upgrades over the 5.0.

The best feature that you won't find on the 5.0 is a wireless heart rate monitor. That's an option on almost all treadmills, regardless of price, but Smooth has thrown it in for free. If you were to go buy a good wireless heart rate monitor on your own dime, expect to drop a minimum of $150 bucks.

Last, but certainly not least the Smooth 7.1 treadmill has the ability to measure your BMI (body mass index) right on the treadmill. Measuring your BMI is a nice way to get some feedback on how effective your workouts have been, and may offer some added incentive to workout harder when you see the results of your BMI testing before you start running.
